Spring 2012 At Casa Bella in Newnan
I've always focused on images from the inside of the house but seeing that we are busy in the yard I just had to share this gorgeous example of a young India Blood Peach tree donated to Casa Bella over fifteen years ago!
Tiny, but worth their weight in gold, the ripe peaches make up a base of a favorite homemade syrup and homemade ice-cream.
Once the fruit has matured, we process the peaches by peeling them, storing them in freezer bags and freezing until needed for the raspberry-scented deliciousness!

Casa Bella is busy with spring cleaning and dolling up the outdoors.
After a brief bit of time off, we're anxious to open the pool, paint the porch furniture and add a new farm table to our beloved front porch!
We've always enjoyed a pretty table on the west side of the porch but the sun is intense and too hot for a pleasant breakfast. So, we've repainted the base and are in the process of adding a beautiful tabletop of reclaimed wood salvage from old barnwood!
And we have moved our pretty new table to a new cooler location and hope guests will enjoy even more use of our fabulous front porch!

Located near many of Georgia's popular weekend activities, Casa Bella is within easy reach of Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills and Serenbe, LaGrange, and Westpoint Lake, just to "name drop" a little.
Guests are amazed at the ease of the southbound exits from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and the convenience of Newnan in relationship to the rest of the metro area!
If you're planning a vacation to Coweta County, one of Georgia's ten "Camera-Ready" counties, visit our Convention and Visitors Bureau website at http://www.explorecoweta.org/ and ask a representative for information on discovering Coweta and Georgia this summer!

Breakfast Pork Chops
By far, these chops seem to satisfy our heartier breakfast eaters! Pan-fried Pork Chops with our homemade bread crumbs. We usually serve it alongside a softly turned egg with fresh fruit and English Toast with Black Raspberry Preserves. And of course, ONLY after a sweet course of bread pudding or French Toast!
This week, I tried something a little different-toasting my leftover biscuits and processing them into crumbs. I had both plain and cheese biscuits leftover and I was so pleased with the results. Ultra crispy breadcrumbs that made for a wonderful pork chop.

Lazy Mornings South of Atlanta
With temperatures already soaring up near ninety we made the quick decision to switch to a lighter breakfast menu this morning. It's going to be a scorcher of a day here in North Georgia, with temperatures well over 100 degrees!
Guests happily started their day with a refreshing swim and retreated to the cool of the front hall of Casa Bella for a breakfast of fruit compote with fresh whipped cream with a Patty's Homemade Fruit Syrup, a French Potato Omelette, Applewood-smoked Bacon and crispy cinnamon toast!

Casa Bella's Busy Summer
This is absolutely one of my favorite months of the year.
I know . . . it's hot and humid and prone to violent storms. But in spite of all that I still love the long days of summer and finding time in my day for a refreshing swim in our sparkling saline pool.
Our first summer as Casa Bella Bed and Breakfast is shaping up to be a busy one. We have been full for the past few weekends with guests from around the world.
Coming up on the Coweta Calendar is our popular Powers Festival that takes place in Newnan every Labor Day. Artists gather under a canopy of large oaks. Our whole community participates and plays hosts to thousands of visitors from around the south.

Fresh Summer Hues At Casa Bella
Switching out a few shams and adding a new quilt with grass greens brings an element of summer inside.
Guests can beat the scorching heat at Casa Bella Bed and Breakfast. A relaxing dip in our saline pool- followed by an afternoon nap in a cool, dark room can do so much to restore energy during these hot summer months. Watch a movie on a large screen color TV or enjoy a good book in the quiet of Guestroom Tre while waiting for the afternoon heat to give way to cooler evenings.

Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit
I wrote about this sweet offering earlier in the week but didn't have a chance that morning to snap a photo-so I planned it again for our July 4th weekend guests. A fresh easy dish to bake and so pretty to see first thing in the morning.
Sweetened pioneer biscuits are toasted until golden. Fresh strawberries soaked in a watermelon-raspberry syrup topped with fresh lightly whipped cream and my homemade black raspberry syrup!
These beautiful glasses are part of a handpainted dessert set that lend themselves to reds and oranges and always demand a few oohs and ahh's.
