Oak Hill Cemetary in Newnan, GA

Guests, Kevin and Sherri Rains, spent the weekend exploring Oak Lawn Cemetery in Atlanta, hoping to identify and photograph a lost relative's headstone.  While visiting Newnan they made their way to our own Oak Hill cemetery dating back to 1833. Kevin graciously shared his photography with us and I had to share this lovely black and white!

Sit Down and Relax "A Spell"

The public spaces of Casa Bella are filled with books, magazines, notecards and reasons to stay put while your battery recharges. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea from the Guest Beverage Center, post a letter at Char's antique desk or enjoy one of Patty's many cookbooks and design books.
If you're the type that appreciates not having to ask for everything, no worries, you'll find our convenient Guest Beverage Center with refrigerator stocked full of popular coffees, teas, water and iced tea, all within easy reach.

The original morning room is only a few steps from the kitchen.  Quiet, serene and wonderfully lit, this peaceful space is the perfect spot to enjoy the smells of the morning.
And, if this all sounds too much like work. . .there's always the front porch-filled with comfy furniture and plenty of entertainment as the work passes by!

Wintry Wonders!

Georgia has experienced one of the coldest winters in recent history; trying everyone's good humor and patience.

Our freezing temperatutes and difficult economic times have persisted much longer than we all expected, creating a sense of dread and worry for ourselves, our friends and neighbors.

Ron and I have busied ourselves with projects that move us closer to opening Casa Bella Bed and Breakfast; celebrating every detail designed to enhance your stay with us.

Yesterday, we found these small reproduction milk jars at one of downtown Newnan's specialty shops, The Vintage Flea.   I clipped a few of my gorgeous "petal pink" camelia blooms and while they are a little worn from our nasty freezing weather, their beauty shines through.

Sunny Coweta Days

Georgia graces us with lovely weather nine or so months out of the year. We are fortunate to enjoy warm winter days (60+ degrees today) and cooler evening temperatures in the middle of summer.

Enjoy some thought-provoking, quiet moments from the pretty porches of Casa Bella. Better yet, go grab a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea and I'll meet you back on the front porch!
